Fractional producing is part-time or embedded producer support. Ambition Studios works with brands, agencies, and talent on commercial and narrative projects, from concept through execution, and can support projects beyond Toronto.
The studio does not currently publish a fractional-producing package with fixed hours, rates, deliverables, or contract terms. The scope is defined directly with the studio.
Where producer support fits
Commercial work: commercial spots, campaigns, brand films, short-form commercial work, and national campaign work, for brands, agencies, and partners who need a production led by an involved producer.
Narrative and original projects: the studio develops and produces a focused slate of film and television projects, including feature-length speculative drama, psychological horror, thriller, and dark fantasy. Narrative producing may involve early development, project shaping, writer and director collaboration, and moving a project toward production.
Concept-to-execution involvement: for projects taken on through the submissions process, the studio holds creative, financial, and logistical responsibilities together.
Potential fit for a part-time engagement
A studio, brand, agency, or production company that needs producing capacity without adding a full-time producer can contact the studio. A part-time or embedded engagement may fit when an experienced producing lead is needed across a defined portion of development, planning, production, or execution. The exact role is agreed before work begins.
A useful first conversation covers:
Whether the work is commercial, narrative, or another form of media
The current stage, from concept or development through production and delivery
Which responsibilities need coverage
Expected project dates and working cadence
The existing creative, production, and client-side team
Budget context and decision-making structure
The studio does not publish a standard hourly allocation, monthly retainer, minimum commitment, response-time promise, or replacement policy for fractional producing. These are confirmed for each engagement.
Engagement route
Email overseer@ambitionstudios.ca with a short description of the project, the type of producer involvement needed, the timeline, and whether you want one project or continuing support. The creator submission route is for commercial work, original films, and other projects that may fit the slate. It is not a published process or acceptance policy for fractional producer support.
Scope distinction
Full production and production consulting are separate services and are scoped under their own categories. Pricing, availability, staffing model, working location, and deliverables for fractional producing are confirmed directly before any commitment.
